Banana Bread: Panqué de Plátano

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 sticks of butter (200 grs)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/ C. chopped nuts

Sift together the flour, baking powder and baking soda.

Cream the butter with the sugar until smooth and fluffy then add the eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.

Alternately add the dry ingredients and the banana a bit at a time, mixing with a spoon until all the ingredients are well blended.

Add the chopped nuts last.

Bake in a greased and floured loaf pan in a 175°C (350°F) oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (approximately 1 hour).
