Linda Watts

Like many college graduates, I was in a complete state of confusion about what to do with my life upon graduating from the University of Alabama in 1994. After hearing about teaching ESL abroad, I immediately decided that was the experience I needed to “clear up” my indecision.

I obtained a job working in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, teaching English to employees from PEMEX, Mexico’s government-sponsored petroleum company. While living in Ciudad del Carmen, I developed a love for Latin American culture and a fascination for the cultural differences that divide us as human beings.

Upon returning to the United States, I studied journalism at San Francisco State University and have worked as a writer at a medical magazine and a Webmaster trade publication. I currently reside in Los Angeles and work as an editor for IAM.com, a resource website for artists.
