    Testimonials.

    For Readers "An invaluable Resource…"

    Peter McHugh

Mexico Connect...simply an invaluable resource for anyone who loves Mexico. The articles and forums are interesting and the vast data base provides information and insight in just about every aspect of Mexican culture, history, tourism, etc. Best of all, the information comes from many different vantage points making it unusually credible. I check in almost everyday and learn something new. My membership is a bargain.

    Geri Anderson

For nitty gritty information, esoteric ideas, and thought-through opinions about all aspects of Mexico, Mexico Connect gets a blue ribbon. It undoubtedly has the most complete selection of articles and photos of any single Internet site, thanks to the webmaster's persistence and hard work.

    Marcos Andres

I discovered your site last week and it is truly amazing. For someone who loves the Latin culture, music, futbol, the people, etc. it is great to discover. To see links about retirement, a job search and being able to post your resume are incredible also. I will tell my friends about this. Are you aware of a similar site for countries like Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, and Honduras? I have now made it my home page. From one excited gringo!

For Moving to Mexico "…Mexico Connect was most certainly a factor…"

    Marlene Santana

Mexico Connect was most certainly a factor in my ultimate move to Mexico. It has been so long since I began reading Mexico Connect I actually cannot remember if the cart came before the horse or not! I recall way back when as I sat in a cold snowy winter in Canada that there was a whole bunch of helpful articles. I was toying seriously with the Dominican Republic as my ultimate landing spot, however Mexico Connect helped me realize that Mexico was indeed for me. I haven't looked back. There were one or two authors that caused me to do some deep thinking and to them I am forever thankful. I am totally immersed and loving every minute. Mexico is my home and my country now. Thank you Mexico Connect.

    Waren Howard

I just wanted to say that I think your website is outstanding, both in presentation and content. I think you can go ahead and quit your day job anytime now! In making our decision to move down here we extensively used the resources that Mexico Connect provides and I will tell you it was a major factor in our ultimate decision. I was heartened to see your interest in broadening the exposure into the academic arena.

    Kenneth Jacobs

I want to tell you your site helped me change my whole life. I went from unhappy retirement in the USA to being a very busy and happy retiree in Mazatlan Mexico......thank you.

    Susan Gilkey

My husband and I moved to Mazatlan a few months ago. We would have been greatly handicapped if not for the valuable information we found on Mexico Connect. In fact, it was near essential for our rather smooth transition. We owe a lot to this site.

    Bernie Gudaitis

Mexico Connect is the most valuable resource for anyone wanting to move to Mexico. All aspects of life are covered (including chicken hen eggs): driving and motel recommendations (invaluable); and comparison of different areas to live in Mexico (unbiased and informative). I enjoy it every day and would be lost without it

For Entertainment "…contributors continue to excite, entertain & inform us…"

    Lee Severns

Comparing the first issue with the current one, I see growth, expansion in a variety of directions, and I find my time is never equal to my interest. What has not changed is the ambiance. This magazine is extremely well organized, and easier to find one's way around in than any site on the Web. Some of the original contributors continue to excite, entertain & inform us, while many others have been added. I don't know how many people are involved in keeping up the site and preparing the magazine, but you are, one and all, deserving of every accolade that could be bestowed. Thank you - Gracias - Muchas Gracias!!!

    Rewa Lynk

I just want to send a thanks for a job well done. I happened upon this website by accident and have truly enjoyed it's content. I make it a nightly joyride to check in and see what's new and to check out the wonderful works of the past. You have a winner! Keep up the good work!

For Broadening Horizons "…I've gained friendships that have enriched my life…"

    Linda Morgan

I have read with great interest your magazine over the past many months and I believe this is the best issue yet. I've enjoyed the conversations in the forum and the sense of Mexico I've gained from reading the many wonderful articles. I have gained friendships that have enriched my life and broadened my horizons. Reading your magazine is all those things, but most of all, it is the sense that when I am finally able to go to Mexico I will be going home to the place I have dreamed of for many years. Thank you for your outstanding effort.

    Jerry & Susan Eubanks

We have been using and enjoying Mexico Connect ever since it started, years ago. It has saved us money, time, and inconvenience. It has introduced us to some very nice people both as Internet friends and in person. Thank you

For Cultural Understanding "…to promote and build understanding among us is a constant in this site…"

    Louis Dumois

As a Mexican interested in different views and conceptions of the world, I have always found Mexico Connect an invaluable space dedicated to learning, interchange and debate. The opportunity to promote and build understanding among us is a constant in this site, open to those willing to share and profit from the mass of knowledge stored in many articles and discussion forums. I don't think there's a better place on the Internet to get acquainted with Mexico, her ways and wonders, peoples and customs.

For Remembering "…it's so refreshing to be reminded of how beauty and love are at the center…"

    Krista

I am conducting web research on Mexico and stumbled across your story titled The Tragic Love Story of Alma Reed & Felipe Carrillo. I am so deeply moved by this story and am grateful to you for sharing such an important and beautiful piece of history with the world. In a time where all we seem to do is focus on war and hate, it is so refreshing to be reminded of how beauty and love are at the center of human beings.

    For Researchers and Students "Bingo!"

    Deane Jensen

As a long-time Mexico Connect lurker, I want to compliment you on the depth and grace with which your site is maturing. I've been doing some Mexican history study and research and, in connection with the current political turmoil, I needed to know more about the historic incident at Tlatelolco. As a long shot, I went to your magazine page, selected Search, entered Tlatelolco, and Bingo! I had 28 excellent links, four of which provided me with all the information I needed. Very impressive.

    Bilol (from a Forum Posting)

Do yourself a favor and search through the various articles that have appeared in the magazine that are listed under the various authors in the index. There are other linked sites where various columnists offer advice. Read through the questions and answers that are still in the thread. My experience has been that no other site will offer you the depth of helpful information. Few of your questions will go unanswered.

For Business "I have made some very lucrative contacts…"

    John Ansart

You will definitely find some great Mexican manufacturers here! In fact this is by far the best forum for south of the border merchandise you will find anywhere on the net! I have made some very lucrative contacts through this board, and you will as well if you look at it frequently.

    Zina Vishhnevsky

Well my own forum! I love this because I am moving to Mexico and tourist boards were too shallow and, well, touristy. I have issues with planning my business and a lawyer and notario can't hold my hand all the time. You can! I am turned on by this board and once I get to Mexico, who knows, I might sell Mexican coffee to the Chinese. It is a land of opportunities that we are losing in the USA.

For the Advertisers "I couldn't believe the quality of people who responded!"

    Sylvia Castro

I am very glad to have posted my ad in your site because I've gotten more than 100 replies to my ad last year! One a day average!!!! On other sites I received maybe one a month! I couldn't believe the "quality" of people who responded! Thank you very much and keep up the high standard of your website!

For Writers "More interesting comments than I received in 10 years…"

    Bill Begalke - Author/Photographer

(His Articles in Mexico Connect )

I need to tell you, David, that I've received more reader's comments about my work on Mexico Connect with more interesting comments than I ever received in ten years of mass market publications, top 50 market newspapers, good magazines and airline in-flight magazines. And the reason for and the interest of the readers who contact me is quite encouraging to me as an author seeking an audience. You've got a good readership in quality and quantity, and I appreciate the opportunity for my work to appear on your website.

    Roy B. Dudley

Mexico Connect has been an integral part of my day to day life for the last five years since I wrote my first article "Xalapa de Mis Sueños". During that time literally thousands of people have contacted me asking about this wonderful area where I live and many of them coming down for my orientation tours and seminars.

For Dreamers "A daily read of the site keeps me in touch…"

    Bill Barber

We've been hoping, planning, dreaming of moving to Mexico for too long now. A daily read of the site keeps me in touch and kind of soothes my jonesing for the country. A most useful, helpful and pleasant way to spend a few minutes each day.

    Pat in South Carolina

Thank goodness I finally found Mexico Connect. My wife and I are considering moving to Mexico, and we have had a terrible time finding reliable information about where to relocate. That was before we discovered your Mexico-Connect forums. The people who communicate via the forums are very friendly, and are an invaluable source of information for anyone thinking of making the move.

For Lurkers "…I've spent hours in the forums…"

    L. Tracie Zeissel

Are you kidding!!? Since I signed up four days ago, I've spent hours in the forums, eavesdropping on the lives of people fortunate enough to live in Mexico. I'm shamelessly envious. I plan to be one of you in two years, so I'm soaking up all the info I can get. Thanks for doing a super service to those of us who for now must be content to dream.

For the Pros "Since its inception…it has been one of the leading websites…"

    Ron Mader

Looking back ... I recall the pleasure of discovering the MC website in 1996. I quickly included it in my list of recommended bookmarks -- http://www.Mexico Connected.com/mex_/travel/rmader/rmonline.html and struck up a friendship with webjefe David. Since its inception, Mexico Connect has been one of the leading websites for English-speakers interested in Mexico. A content-rich archive is matched by the webjefe's work to make the site writer-friendly. It was a pleasure to contribute to this site for several year with my column rating Mexico websites. Speaking of ratings ... Mexico Connect is also popular -- note the ranking on Alexa -- http://www.alexa.com/data/details?url=Mexico Connected.com
A final note ... I think this site has only gotten better thanks to the site redesign. Keep up the good work!
