Narrow stone-lined passageways lead to a labyrinth of dungeons in the Fort of San Juan Ulua. A landmark in the Mexican city of Veracruz, it was first built as a castle in the 1550s. It served as a background for the chase scene in the movie "Romancing the Stone."
