Weekends in Ajijic in 1970 were often spent on the beach. Walking, paddling, sitting, playing on the sand... the wide beach attracted everyone, especially in the early evenings. Part of the beach was later used to build a lakeshore road, and in recent years another part has been used for a lakeside park.
