A painting of Our Lady of Guadalupe encased in an 18 carat gold frame and flanked by gleaming white pillars and side panels of gold and pink is the center in a room filled with gilt, statuary, candelabras and an extremely ornate altar. The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Zacatecas dates back to the early 1700s.
