And here is Sara Johnson-Pérez  again, in September 1972. She may look like she is paddling, and finding the water rather chilly, but actually she is standing on the end of Ajijic pier! In the early 1970s, the level of water in the lake reached its highest for more than a century. At the time the photo was taken, Lake Chapala was well above level 98, more than two meters higher than in 1965.
