A children’s birthday party, complete with piñata, in Ajijic, 1973. One of Marsha’s closest friends during her time in Ajijic was Tamara (Tammy) Johnson, who lived in the village with her mother (Beverly Johnson) and six siblings. Marsha writes that “Beverly Johnson and her 7 children (Tammy was the eldest daughter) were a fixture in Ajijic back in the 1960s and 70s. She had her last two children (Sara and Mirium) with Antonio Pérez, who still has family in the village. Beverly and Antonio both passed away sometime in the 70s.”
