The Daughter of the Dancers (1933)
A young woman looks through a mysterious portal in a wall. She is dressed in a Mexican costume. One foot is placed awkwardly atop the other as is sometimes seen in early pre-Columbian carvings. Perhaps she is Mexico searching for its past through the hole in the well-worn wall.
