Roads in the Copper Canyon of Mexico are narrow and sinuous. At the bottom of the most treacherous inclines are small shrines where truckers stop and give thanks with a prayer or lighted candle. The shrine bears the words "Virgen de Guadalupe Bendice Nuestro Camino."
