This ceramic tile wall plaque by Manuel Reyes features skull images in low relief, inspired by Mexico's Day of the Dead celebrations. It is reminiscent of the Wall of Skulls, or Tzompantli, discovered in the Templo Mayor in Mexico City's Zócalo District. © Alvin Starkman 2008
