A hot bowl of spicy churipu is one of many dishes added to the menu of Los Mirasoles Restaurant by Chef Rubi Silva, who travels to the villages of Michoacan collecting indigenous recipes. Churipu tastes great with a side of two jahuacatas, a Purepecha variation of the corunda. The corunda, in turn, is a type of tamale.
