I am very sorry, but family circumstances have conspired to prevent me from being able to guarantee that I can run future Butterflies Trips with the same high standards of personal attention and commitment that previous participants have enjoyed.
Therefore, and with a considerable degree of reluctance (since I have run these trips every year since 1981), I have decided that my only reasonable course of action is to cancel the Butterflies Trips planned for 2004.
I had hoped that I would be able to run trips for at least another 5 or 6 years, but am not prepared to compromise my reputation or the quality of the trips due to circumstances beyond my immediate control.
I am aware that many of you were counting on joining one of my groups and apologise for any inconvenience that my decision may cause you. While aware that many other operators offer Butterflies Trips, some of which are excellent, I am not prepared to offer personal recommendations as to suitable alternative tours.
If circumstances change in the future, I will, of course, publicise the fact via the pages of this website.
I really appreciate the interest you have shown in the Butterflies Trips and would encourage you to make every effort to visit one or more of the overwintering sanctuaries - I'm confident you'll have a truly magical experience!
