Pictures of Teotihuacán, Mexico

The Pyramid of the Moon built in about 300 AD is artistically planned with a large platform part way up and a symetrical complex of temples in front. It is believed that this was a temple of the people and everyone was allowed free access here.

Perhaps the best view of the Pyramid of the Moon
is this one from the Pyramid of the Sun.
Looking north up the Avenue of the Dead
at the the Pyramid of the Moon. The hill
behind seems to be well centered.

These three pictures are intended to make a panoramic view looking south from the top of the Pyramid of the Moon. Left you can see the Pyramid of the Sun, center is the Avenue of the Dead, and to the right beyond the three temples, the low flat buildings are the Palaces of Quetzalpapalotl (plumed butterfly), the Jaguar, and Caracoles Emplumados (plumed conch shells).

Looking down at the alter
in the center of the plaza in front
of the Pyramid of the Moon.
