Pictures of Cucuchuchu, Mexico
From the Bocanegra Plaza in Patzcuaro you can hop a bus for 7 pesos to this village at the end of the line past Ihuatzio. It is on an arm of land that juts into Lake Patzcuaro from the southeast. Cucuchuchu consists of a group of homes organized into blocks and a church on the square where the bus turns around. There is not much else. No restaurant or lodging. The surrounding land especially in the direction of the lake is mostly undeveloped and looks to be in pre-Columbian condition with cactus and low growth. It feels like a good residential area if you are contemplating building a home. Click on a picture below to blow it up!
