Three assorted views near the edge of the zócalo in downtown Mexico City.

Looking west from the roof of the Hostel Moneda, the huge National Palace is on the left, then the distant Latin America Tower is center, and then to the right are the towers of the Cathedral. The entrance to the
National Monte de Piedad,
the country's pawn shop (looking west from the cathedral). It is chock full of jewelry (and guards).
A block east on Calle Moneda. Since this street dead ends at the zocalo, it is virtually a pedestrian walkway. The lower white flag marks the entrance to the Hostel Moneda.
