This musical group performed in a small cemetery in a village near Oaxaca City. Although Day of the Dead is a spiritual and reverent occasion, it is also a happy time because souls of loved ones join in the festivities. The combination of happiness and sadness makes Day of the Dead a special and confusing attraction to foreign visitors.
