Short of finding a Spanish-speaking partner to live with, the next most effective method of learning spanish is to enroll in a true immersion program.
There are many excellent ones. Most programs not only provide an immersion in the language, but they also provide a cultural experience as well. The programs in Canada and the U.S. will have a broader and more general cultural focus than the programs in Mexico or Spain. The programs in these countries will focus intensely on their own culture and history. Formal Spanish classes relevant to Mexico are also listed.
Mexico Connect does not recommend any particular program over any of the others. They are all a worthwhile experience.
