    "Salsa" By Linda Paul
    ../Images/22salsa.jpg

In her bas-relief and egg tempera paintings of chili pepper and Mexican food, Artist Linda Paul uses natural crushed stone and earth mixed with a bit of water and egg yolk to make her paint. Blues come from crushed lapis lazuli, greens from malachite and ochers from natural earths found all over the world. She uses fascinating colors which have been "lost" for hundreds of years and new colors from stones which she has discovered in the Rocky Mountains. Original works in the Chili Pepper Series are first sculpted in bas-relief before being painted in pure egg tempera. Limited Edition Canvas Prints are available as well. See her chili peppers series at http://www.lindapaul.com/Chile_Pepper_Prints.htm and all her work at www.lindapaul.com
