We are going on a 7- day tour through the Canyon in February. We are not quite sure as to what type of clothing to pack. Any tips would be appreciated.

Expect very cold weather, especially in this weather-crazy year. Be prepared.

You should recognize the fact that the Copper Canyon is in the mountains and February is still winter, and some of the most severe winter in the south (U.S.) and Southwest frequently occurs in February. Consequently you should be prepared for it to be cold, although you may also find it to be very spring-like and pleasant. The smart traveler would always pack clothing that can be layered and adjusted for climatological changes.

Copper Canyon seems fascinating. However, since it is several meters high, could anyone tell me what the temperatures are like during the month of March? Many thanks.

I was in Creel and Batoplias last week. There was snow in Creel but nice and warm in Batopilas (at the bottom). The road down to Batopilas is incredible. The whole thing was the vacation of a lifetime. I can’t wait to go back. Batopilas has mellowed considerably since 1993. It has its own sheriff now and there is a road to the "lost cathedral" as well as Cerro Colorado. I got to ride on a seat welded to the top of a Suburban down to Batopilas! What a cool experience.

I've been up there in March. Experienced sub-zero (Celsius) temperatures early in the morning and during the night. Be prepared for cold weather.
