What could be more beautiful than tall ships with sails billowing in the wind as they surge across the ocean? These wonderful sailing ships carry a sense of history and adventure. In June of 2010, many elegant vessels come together in a regatta that will culminate in the port of Veracruz, Mexico from June 23rd through the 28th — a great opportunity to see them in action.

Thad Koza is author of Tall Ships: an international guide and Tall Ships: the fleet for the 21st century.  In 2002, the 3rd edition of his book was published with 35 additional vessels. The 5th edition was released in 2009, with minor changes. In addition, a calendar that features his photographs of tall ships, is available through his website.
