Tlaxco (pronounced tlas-ko) is a small town in the State of Tlaxcala north of Tlaxcala City. It is a lumber producing area obvious from the look of the harvested hills as you approach. There is reforestation but it appears a bit sparse. Tlaxcala being the smallest Mexican state it is a short bus trip here with a change of buses in the busy hub city of Apizaco.
