do video rental stores still rent vcr tapes, and are they current. i've read plenty about dvds and players: zones, knock-offs, etc... but i'm just as happy with a vcr movie. thanx...
I don't know about the rest of the country, but here in Lerdo some stores still have a few tapes. I don't know if current releases are available on tape, but I'll bet they are not.

There is a VCR library at the Lake Chapala Society in Ajijic along the shores of Lake Chapala. Although the loaning library is converting to DVDs they still have quite a few films using the old fashioned 20th century VCR technology
