Why it takes us a week to get everything working -if we are lucky- I don't have the answer. The computer is now cleaned up and working so we downloaded the "slingbox" and it is doing what it says it would do. It is hooked up to our tv in Little Rock so we get everything we get when we are in the states. I get all the movies, PBS, Arkansas basketball, the local news..so it does have a place in our lives down here. It does need to be connected to a regular tv system and it does make that tv unusable when you are watching it on computer or visa versa. There is no one at our house so...no problem. It dos use the computer screen so you can't watch tv and use the computer at the same time. The remote is on the left of the screen and it works just like it does when you are actually using it in reality. Really neat..

Thanks for the update. What I was lead to believe, and I sure hope your experiences, prove what I have heard as being wrong is that there isn't sufficient bandwidth to provide a high enough quality picture to do anything but watch the images on a very small several inch by several inch screen. Are you suggesting that the quality is good enough to enlarge the image to watch it on say a 27 inch screen.

I am anxiously waiting your test results

The picture is not HD but it is certainly acceptable. Our son tells us..he is in San Francisco watching Little Rock television... that we can tweak the tv a bit if we need to.. Right now we are so fascinated watching local news we haven't tweaked it. I don't know about watching it on a real tv screen..so far only on our computer screen which is 9" X 15". You do need a dedicated tv connection somewhere and a high speed internet connection. Now you know and I know..high speed in Mexico really may not be what you are paying for. If you had real high speed it might not need to be tweaked. More will be revealed..I will keep you posted.
