Will the Calderon administration get tough on Telmex?

I was reading a position paper prepared for the Calderon administration, and noted that they are looking at the telecommunications industry in terms of competition, regulation, pricing, etc. They are looking at fixed and mobile phone, internet, TV, etc. They discussed wireless internet access, for example.

Warning: These are pdfs of scanned documents, so huge files. I am not sure how many Megs it is, but I would not download it if you have dialup. It was slow on 256K DSL. They are in Spanish.

I read somewhere that Lopez Obrador was also getting on Telmex's case, noting that phone costs in Mexico are higher than other countries.

Do you think that the new Calderon administration will do much in face of the powerful Telmex monopoly? Mr. Slim is an important man in Mexico.

Richard wasn't kidding when he said these scanned documents were huge files. If you have a dialup connection, I wouldn't advise you trying to download these Spanish Language documents.

Now if you have broadband and can read Esp. then why not download said pdf files.
