Starchoice Motorola DVR-530

We are re-thinking bringing our Dishnet receivers down, due to Pete's post about not getting any reception from the 110 satellite.

Am about to order my equipment, but my dealer does not offer the DVR530 - a must for the better 1/2. Dealer stated that there were too many hardware and firmware problems with this unit. So am still looking to purchase this somewhere.....

Does anyone have this DVR and so, what have been your experiences with this unit?

As I emailed Elke, yes, I have the DVR 530, but no, I haven't tried recording yet, I have it up North and had to be, or got to be in Mexico for the summer.
