Would someone, please be so kind as to post where I can buy the Shaw HD receivers and LNB's for HD in the United States. I can have them shipped to a friend in McAllen and pick them up. I also need the name of the lady in Buffalo that can set up an account for someone. I received an email from her at one time, but have lost it.

I live in Tequisquiapan, Queretaro and I have had it with losing my Dish Network channels. I just lost some more channels and want to try Shaw.

I just looked at my old sourse. Sadly no more. It would appear that he only sells the satellite dishes not the receivers in the US. The most expensive option is to find a local satellite dealer who handles Star Choice and who could provide you an address. But it sounds like you already have a solution for the registration process.

If per chance you have friends coming down from anywhere near Duncan, Vancouver Island, BC, I have a dealer friend there who would be happy to help you. He is familiar with what is needed in much of Mexico.

I'm guessing you would need Star Choice's (Shaw Direct's) larger 75 E and matching 75E LNB

You will have to check the site to see what is available. I did not check it for this post.

I too would recommend Global Communications: http://global-cm.net/ . I have communicated Mike Kohl the owner on numerous occasions and think highly of him. When I quickly looked at his web page, and I did it quickly, I got the idea that he no longer sells Shaw Direct Receivers. If I am wrong and simply missed finding the equipment, you know the receivers, I would highly recommend him/Global

I got a receiver from global about 18 months ago and they hooked me up with everything I needed including a connection in canada for my account he is a very good man to work with and was very helpful, I would reccomend him highly.
