I have been monitoring the emails between Samsung and the press, between Samsung and the resellers, and I have actually seen some of the communications between Samsung and their clients. Don't ask me how. Anyway Samsung has been trying hard to honor its clients and to allow them to use up their time on their calling cards. That was kind of hard to do because of interference from the governmental office, Cofetel. They came up with several programs to give us card holders immediate (well not quite immediate) alternative methods to phone NoB for cheap. The trouble is, they were forced to change methods midstream several times, and some of us folks had trouble keeping up with the instructions. And some of the folks who were not correctly following these instructions, sent angry emails to Samsung, blaming Samsung for the fact that they the client could not follow the instructions. There were some legitimate complaints and Samsung responded appropriately. Well anyway, the great news is that Samsung is still trying to honor its promises. In fact they just emailed their resellers that "We'll be making our announcement by Monday regarding the new cards and services. We will keep you posted. We thank you for your understanding and patience." Some of you have become very angry and swear that you will never deal with Samsung or the reseller who sold you this card again, and that is your right. And if you find a better way to phone up North I hope you will share it with us. What am I going to go? I am looking to Samsung's new product and I am going to try it out. Oh sure I will still mess around with VoIP and even occasionally use my more expensive call back service. But I am used to calling cards and am looking forward to Samsung's newest offering.
