All is not lost - We use Skype as well as Vonage. I signed up for Skype to use on a recent trip. Today I got an Email from Skype offering 50% off on a yearly-unlimited subscription. It would cost me just $14.95 for unlimited calls for the next year. The letter also said that without the unlimited calling plan I can still make calls to telephones in The US and Canada at the standard rates of 2.1 Cents (2.4 Cents Canadian), those calls were free for the last year or so. Other slightly higher international rates will also continue to apply. Since we will almost surely never use Skype except when we are traveling, I am going to pass on the yearly-unlimited calling plan. 2 Cents per minute is negligible for the few calls we will make when traveling. This change may affect anyone that uses Skype as their primary long distance telephone service more than it will affect us. Our computer does not need to be turned on when we make, or receive telephone calls using Vonage. Vonage is available at all hours of the day or night. All we need to do is pick up the telephone to use it. Rex "The supreme happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved" - Victor Hugo
