First if you are sure that it is your Star Choice receiver not the LNB electronics that has died, why not get it repaired at the repair shop in San Juan Cosala, on the main drag, that everyone talks about? The last time mine died, it died because of a power surge, and I had it repaired for perhaps $300 pesos. If it's the LNB, you can get that replaced. And also if you were to go to www.starchoice.com you would see several receivers listed for existing customers, one for $79 and the second for $99 Canadian. Now unless you are a techie, my suggestions probably don't do you much good. So if those suggestions are not realistic, why not check with the other satellite dealers, lakeside who service Star Choice and see if you can't beat that price Good luck PS I just read bournemouth's post and I too think highly of Ed.
