Am I the only one or are all of you getting a new email from Mexico-Connect each day titled: MEXICO CONNECT'S FORUMS / FOROS forum archive for Areas: Here they list some of the forums For example I got the following email today. MEXICO CONNECT'S FORUMS / FOROS forum archive for Areas: Jalisco's Lake Chapala Region Then the email goes on and on repeating all of the posts made in the forum, those posts that I have, of course, already read the day before, because I check the forums daily. To me, this is spam and a bother. Is there some option page that I somehow missed that allows me to choose not to receive this repetative information? Here is an example of one I received this morning telling about all of the posts that arrived yesterday, that, of course, I had already read yesterday. TO ME THIS IS SPAM -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= MEXICO CONNECT'S FORUMS / FOROS forum archive for Areas: Jalisco's Lake Chapala Region This forum is located at http://www.mexconnected.com/...s/gforum.cgi?forum=3 The main site is located at http://www.mexconnected.com/perl/foros/gforum.cgi --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Re: [RickS] Search Function Posted by: tonyburton Posted on: Oct 29, 2006, 10:31 AM The search function is temporarily out-of-action while we perform a major upgrade of the community and forum software. Hopefully, it shouldn't be much longer now before upgrades are all complete and we can reactivate it. Apologies for not having been able to warn you all of this inconvenience; the software gurus took us by surprise on Friday evening when they announced they were upgrading everything over the weekend. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Re: [RickS] Search Function Posted by: Oscar2 Posted on: Oct 29, 2006, 10:03 AM Ditto... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Re: [RickS] Search Function Posted by: arbon Posted on: Oct 29, 2006, 9:58 AM I also have the same problem. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My grandma and your grandma were sittin' by the fire, my grandma told your grandma, the lullaby technique works very well on superiority. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Search Function Posted by: RickS Posted on: Oct 29, 2006, 9:57 AM Is anyone else having a problem using the Search function? For 2 days I get "a fatal error has occurred" when I search for anything. I've tried using Firefox and IE7 and both get the same error. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Re: [Musicman] Directions Posted by: bournemouth Posted on: Oct 29, 2006, 9:50 AM For future needs, try this link: http://www.chapala.com/maps/lakechapala.htm I know that Mexconnect has maps but I'm sorry Tony, they take too long to load and the above link is quick and the maps good. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Re: [RickS] CRS Posted by: sparks Posted on: Oct 29, 2006, 9:03 AM Because you pay at the banjercito ... which is often next door but not always Sparks Mexico - Sparks Costalegre --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: CRS Posted by: RickS Posted on: Oct 29, 2006, 8:07 AM OK, I am seemingly developing a good case of CRS..... you know, "Can't Remember SH_T"! I drove down in late September and got my FM-T and car permit at the border. I was talking with someone yesterday and had my FM-T out. They remarked, "you haven't taken your FM-T to the bank and payed the fee? You owe $210 pesos!" Now comes the CRS. I don't remember anyone saying that I should/have to do this! I drove down last December also and I don't remember ever going to the bank and paying them anything and nothing bad happened to me during my stay... or when I left a few months later. I also drove down in 2003 but I SURELY don't remember any details of that trip. Visa-wise that is. I do actually remember being here thankfully! Having had this brought to my attention I vaguely remember that I am/was supposed to do this... go to the bank and pay. It obviously makes sense as I do recall the discussions of the airlines collecting this fee, even wrongly when one has an FM-3. But why don't they just collect it at the border like they do the car permit fee (I know, 'don't ask why in Mexico'!)? And what will happen to me if I don't pay it (which I am not planning on doing... NOT paying it I mean). Did I just get lucky earlier this year (assuming that I really didn't pay it and am not just suffering CRS on that too!)? Is there some time limit within which I was supposed to pay it (I'll bet!) and am I going to have to pay a fine or go to jail when I show up at the bank tomorrow? Here comes another kicker.... I'm flying out this week for a short trip NOB and will have to give up that FM-T to the airlines and get another one when I return.... and it won't have my car 'attached' to it. But that's another story. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Re: [Musicman] Directions Posted by: bola_blanca Posted on: Oct 29, 2006, 6:26 AM Take the first right, after you pass S&S Motors on the left, which is San Mateo. Restaurant San Lorenzo is on the corner. Go one block and turn left on San Luis. His office will be on your left before the end of the block. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Re: [Jean] Cheap Delta Flights For LC residents - Any Experience Posted by: shadow34 Posted on: Oct 29, 2006, 5:20 AM If you are going to Chicago, www.ata.com by far has the best fare, they have a direct flight once a day, and they code share with Southwest Airlines, so you can change planes at Midway airport and go just about any place you want. Growing old is manditory, growing up is optional!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Directions Posted by: Musicman Posted on: Oct 29, 2006, 4:13 AM Can anyone direct me to Dr. Haro in Riberas del Pilar? I know the street address is San Luis #83 but I don't know how to get there from Ajijic. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
