I assume you are talking about a link you have added to a message. Be sure there is a space before and after the link. Sometimes it takes two spaces.

For examplehttp://rollybrook.com/ does not work because there is no space before. http://rollybrook.com/ does work because there are spaces before and after.

I use the little url formatting tool, located at the right hand of the bottom of the text input box. Just be sure that the actual url is enclosed between the first <url> and the second </url> tag.
Example: http://www.pbase.com/panos/move_to_mexico

Thanks Rolly and Anonimo. Neither of the suggestions worked for me so I figured it was something else. I use Mozilla Firefox as my broswer of choice, but it seems to be the 'culprit'. I switched over to IE and both of the suggestions above worked. I'll have to contact Firefox support and see what is going on (things like this crop up occassionally, but Firefox is well worth using just to get away from the perils of IE).

Thanks again, guys.

In Mozilla (Firefox), type url [in square brackets] before the web-address and /url [in square brackets] after.

Thanks, Tony. That seems to work just fine once it gets posted.

Yes, actually it works so well that I couldn't send a message with the url already in the square brackets (so you could see what it looked like) whatever I did!!!
It (the system) just kept putting the html stuff in automatically...
