When I was shamed into joining facebook by a then 11 year old and her then 14 year old brother, I kept on adding friends. Soon I realized that it was quite easy to un-friend the folks I didn't know. Now my list of friends is less than 50 and some of my younger (mid 40s) relatives post so often that I don't read much of what is posted. And then after all of the scary stories, I'm afraid to post anything about much of anything considering how public Facebook is. You know whether I'm up north or lakeside etc. I try to make sure only my friends and relatives over 30 are friends. The younger ones have way too many friends and make far too many posts for this old dude, to even try to read. And when a younger teenage relative tries to "Friend me I simply fib to them and tell them I am too old to understand Facebook, let alone how to tweet etc.
