Google+ Invites

Google+ has been launched in trial by invitation only. It is similar to Facebook but also has some characteristics of Twitter. I have found it easier to use, especially in separating my "friends" into groups (circles) and sharing info and photos accordingly. The privacy controls are also easy to set-up. I have some remaining invitations if anyone would like to enroll.

Here is the link to get an invitation.

No problem. One of things I prefer about Google+ is the ability to be more selective. I posted only to give forum members the opportunity to be a Google Pluser.

Several, perhaps a dozen, would help me move, but few have any spare change to loan.

When I was shamed into joining facebook by a then 11 year old and her then 14 year old brother, I kept on adding friends. Soon I realized that it was quite easy to un-friend the folks I didn't know. Now my list of friends is less than 50 and some of my younger (mid 40s) relatives post so often that I don't read much of what is posted. And then after all of the scary stories, I'm afraid to post anything about much of anything considering how public Facebook is. You know whether I'm up north or lakeside etc.

I try to make sure only my friends and relatives over 30 are friends. The younger ones have way too many friends and make far too many posts for this old dude, to even try to read. And when a younger teenage relative tries to "Friend me I simply fib to them and tell them I am too old to understand Facebook, let alone how to tweet etc.
