Forced to use Basic Editor

Hi,

I asked this question on the Practice and Problems forum, but I'd still like to know is there is a cure.

Some time back I had to change browers (from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox) because I couldn't access my banking account all of a sudden.

The only place I have trouble using Mozilla is that I cannot post anything on Mexico Connect unless I use the Basic Editor.

Any suggestions? It's a pain switching back and forth between browsers. (I don't really like to use the Basic Editor.)

The advanced editor works for me Judy, using Firefox. As a test I inserted this pic of a waterlily blooming in my pond here in Cathedral City. The name of this lily is Mexicana, so it's relevent!

I hope you don't expect the moderator to know the answer, He (I) am at the airport in Seattle having my second free champagne before boarding an overnight flight to Guadalahara. Sadly, even without the bubbly I would not know the answer to your problem.

I get the advanced editor, with a button at the bottom of the page to switch to the basic editor.

I am using Firefox 1.5.0.6, are you at a very early level ?

Yes, I am using the same (latest) version 1.5.0.6.

I couldn't find the "Advanced Editor" button you spoke of, but now I see that it appears after switching to the Basic Editor. That's two extra clicks I don't need when using Internet Explorer, but no problem. Thank you very much for your very helpful response.

Hey,it works!

I discovered, though, that I have to start the post in Basic Editor and then switch to Advanced Editor.

Go to "Edit Profile", then "Display Settings", then about 1/3 of the way down that page is the selection for "Post writer/editor", choose "Advanced Editor" and then make sure you click on the "Make Profile Changes" command button in the lower right hand of the page, and that should set it permanently.

I did as you suggested, but it's already set on Advanced Editor. Thanks. Any other ideas? It works fine in Internet Explorer and I'm using the latest Mozilla Foxfire version.
