Fiber optics cable cut near Chapala

Can't Post | Private Reply
Sometime Tuesday morning the fiber optic line feeding much of the North Shores of Lake Chapala was cut.
Some to many phones went dead, and connectivity to the World Wide Web sucked or was totally down. I understand that some of the cell phone towers were down has well.

Well anyway a very angry client came running into Ajijic's local Internet Service Provider (ISP) stating that his dialup connection to the internet had failed. And that when he tried to phone in, many times to complain he got a fast busy signal, so he drove to the office to complain. He wanted the ISP to immediately turn his dialup account back on.

This guy did not have the intelligence to know that if his phone system was down that even if the internet were up, he could not connect. (A fast busy signal usually means overloaded circuits)
