The only thing I remember about MovieStar is vague, and not very helpful, but I guess it is just a little be better than nothing, and so far no one has offered an answer. Here is what I remember. Talosian, you do or you did live lakeside (Lake Chapala) and these comments apply only to those who live lakeside. When you subscribe to a TelCel account with your cell-phone, you are given a Guadalajara number not a local lakeside #. When you phone someone in your home town of Ajijic, you are paying long distance from Guadalajara even when you are standing in Ajijic Maybe 4 years ago MovieStar came to Ajijic-Chapala, it was called something else then, and offered cell phones with local lakeside tel #s and when you were lakeside, it was not long distance to call lakeside. However it was a long distance to call Guadalajara. I understand that for the past several years, MovieStar stopped giving out local Ajijic-Chapala telephone numbers. I also know that MovieStar Phones only worked in certain areas lakeside. At one time and perhaps still today, for example, MovieStar coverage did not work as far West as San Juan Cosola or Jocotepec. Sorry. I didn't say much. Hopefully someone else can add to my comments AND WITH TELCEL when I pay 100 pesos I get 100 pesos worth of minutes. I can't remember what it is with 200 pesos. When I spend 300 pesos I get 450 pesos worth of time and when buy a 500 peso card, I get 900 pesos worth of time.
