As I posted on the other forum: In addition to the smartcard replacement--to upgrade encryption to Nagra3--which began earlier this month, Dish announced that it will be turning off the mpeg2 HD stream. This means that if you are using the 811, 6000, 941, or 942 receivers to get Dish HD, you will no longer be able to do so as of late summer or early fall. The SD mpeg2 will not be affected. You will still be able to get the SD channels with the above receivers, just no more HD. Time to upgrade your box if you want to continue receiving any HD. If you are using the 211, 222, 622, or 722 receivers for HD, you already have an mpeg4 box and are fine. Tim
