Callback service issues.. Same as VoIP here?

Can't Post | Private Reply
I have two lines here (Lakeside) and suddenly there are major problems with the quality of the callback lines. static and "Number unknown" when I know the right number was entered.

The callback service says it's TelMex lines that have the problem however there is no problem with local calls, including the Prodigy/TelMex dial up. And we all know, dial up will be the first service to show when a line is degraded so it might be TelMex is playing games with the callback service lines.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

I too noticed that the last time I used callback services in early May that the line quality in Ajijic was not always good. The symptoms I had were simply very poor fidelity. I did not have the break up problems I normally experience when I have a bad VoIP connection.

I sure hope there is someone out there with much better and more detailed info than what I provided.

Hmmmm....I used mine several times this morning and the sound quality was very good. I reside in Jocotepec. Also, since Rod at Lagunanet updated his equipment out this way, my VOIP has been excellent.

That's great news, Don. I'm glad the folks at www.lagunanet.com.mx have completed the update to their wireless link from Ajijic, via San Juan Cosola to Jocotepec. I know that the owner, Rod, was not a happy camper earlier this spring when he ordered the equipment to upgrade said link only to discover some of the equipment was missing.

I hope you continue to have good luck.
