Mexifoods might also be able to give you the name of one of their customers in your area (eg a hotel or restaurant). You could then ask the customer if they could add a tin of tomatilloes to their order for you. But they are in catering size tins.
The only source of fresh tomatilloes I have found is Peppers By Post, run by Joy Michaud in Dorset. Her tel no is 01308 897892. I usually collect, but she will post them for you (hence the name). You have probably just missed the end of the season though. They freeze very well so if you can get some it's worth stocking up

You can get canned tomates verdes/tomatillos from Mexifoods in the industrial estate at Theale, just off the M4, but I'm afraid I don't have their address or phone number because I usually call in. The problem is that they are wholesalers and unless you collect, the minimum order would keep you going for years. They have quite an extensive list of other Mexican foods.
