Hello everyone :)
I am new to this site and am looking forward to all the wonderful recipes i have glanced through.
I was directed here from a fellow recipe seker!

I am in need of some help. First off I need to stae for the record that what I am looking for I cannot properly spell but I have to say that i can pronounce it properly :)

Here it goes, I am looking for a recipe for Slathidtos-

I can tell you that I believe they are dired prunes that you bake and then roll them in some sort of fine salt. When I lived in Tucson, Arizona one of my girlfriends Mothers use to make them quite often. They use to sit in a large glass jar on the counter. They were very adicting. I am now a grown adult and speak of them often. My husband told me he would be willing to try one if i could ever find them. Well, knowing full well how he feels about prunes he was probably figuring that i would never locate the recipe:)

If there is anyone outhere that knows what I am talking about could you please email me?!
Thanks, lisa

Hola Lisa,
Sorry I don't have a recipe but the correct spelling is "Saladitos" and they are salted dehydrated plums. Perhaps this info will make it easier for you to find a recipe. You might try looking for them in the mexican food section of your supermarket, they are usually sold in small cellophane bags and are hung on hooks just like the spices.
I hope this helps at least a little.
Ciao, Gran
