(SOUP)get one pund of beans....add water about 3 to 4 cups so water is about 2 inches above beans, garlic(2 cloves) and salt(1 tsp)....boil for about 1 1/2 hrs....then simmer for 1 1/2 hr you'll know if there done when the beans are soft.. MAKE SURE TO CHECK BEANS WHILE COOKING IN CASE YOU NEED TO ADD WATER TO IT. (REFRIED BEANS) after beans are fully cooked use a strainer to get rid of most of water (about 90% of the water you might want to use some of the water if beans get too dry when mashing or blending.) then in a pot mash beans with a potato masher ... or use a blender, in a skillet add about 1 tsp of oil and start frying the beans. add salt to taste......and enjoy. good luck i hope this helped you. :)
