I am in the Us now and the southern recipe for Xmas parties is going around ..in the south most good local recipes are exchanged at the beauty parlor or bridge table or office..well this years recipe is to put small pretzeles ..we can get square ones..on a baking sheet. Put a Hershey's kiss on each one. Put in a 300 degree oven for 2 minutes..until chocolate is soft but not melted or runny..Press a pecan on top of each one. They are very good. Better than the saltine crackers in the gallon jug with oil, herbs and hot sauce. Do you have quick easy recipes like this in your town?

That's one I hadn't heard of. That's ok, don't tell me! :-)

We recent had some Ambrosia Salad, made by an Arkansas lady visiting Pátzcuaro. Although it's not something I normally crave nor seek, that was very good. (In small portions.)
All generalities are suspect, including this one.

I don't think the pretzel thing is new..it's just making the rounds..Someone told me if you use a Rolo candy instead of the kiss..you get an almost turtle candy..We had ambrosia the other day ..also ..and I had forgotten how tasty it is.

Ambrosia is one of those things I rarely think about and never make but when I see it at a buffet (which is generally the only time I see it) I go right for it. I mainly have prime rib with horseradish and ambrosia at the casino buffets. What a meal!
