I became addicted to this stuff last week in Sayula -- anybody have a good recipe for jugo verde? Or even a guess at the ingredients?

I have noticed very strange yogurt combinations at Soriana- I tried the apia and pina- celery and pineapple that I really liked- must taste similar to what you had. I just bought the carrot and almond yogurt yesterday- not bad but I prefer the celery/pineapple better. I also noticed that they carried a soft spread margarine with herbs- has anyone tried that?

"My very favorite agua fresca..."

Mine too. Thanks, Jennifer & Esperanza.

Seems to me that I tasted pineapple, celery, alfalfa, nopal, and maybe even parsley -- there definitely was some finely minced, dark green leaf floating around in there.

I'm going to give it a try and see if I can duplicate the taste. Sure hope canned nopal works -- that's about the only kind I can get here.

Sam's and Wal-Mart sell a powdered jugo verde mix, called "Jugo Verde", which contains pina, apio, nopal, and perejil.... fits right into my protein drink every morning.
