In reply to those seeking a recipe for green chile stew: 2 lbs pork (cubed into 3/4 inch squares)remove fat 2 Tbsp vegetable oil Garlic salt to taste 4 Heaping Tbsp all-purpose flour 3 gloves garlic minced 1 large onion diced 1 28oz can tomatoes drained & chopped 1 28oz can mild peeled green chiles diced (I buy the chiles whole in a can then I dice them myself) 1 4oz can jalopeno peppers (diced) Salt & Pepper to taste Water to consistency you prefer DIRECTIONS: In a large skilled add oil, garlic, pork & garlic salt.Cook until pork is golden about 80% cooked, add flour to pork continue to cook until flour is brown but not burned. Set aside. In a large pot add onions, tomatoes, green chile, jalopenos. Add water to a consistency that you like. Bring to a boil, add pork mixture, salt & pepper to taste, zimmer covered for 1 1/2 hours stirring ocasionally.
