We were watching a cooking show, Aquilìsma, with Aquiles Chavez as host. He reported on a tradtional tamal found in Tabasco made with masa colada or strained masa. I couldn't help but note the ingeniousness of the woman preparing the masa. She used a bolsa de mandado, the ubiquitous plastic mesh shopping bag, to strain the masa. Been in this country for a very long time and am still amazed at the resourcefulness.
