Ripe tomatillo

I have just eaten my first "Ripe" tomatillo, out of hand.

In salsas they are usually used "Green" before they ripen, but if they are allowed to turn yellow you are able to eat them, quite nice and unusual actually.

Would be OK added to salads.

PS. I guess most of you knew this already?
