Papaya con limon. Huevos rancheros, chilaquiles and frijoles. Fresh squeezed orange and carrot juice.

Excellent desayuno. Satisfies me alright. Qué mas? Café de olla and good company to dine with.

My regular breakfast is a fresh fruit smoothie with green grapes, banana, strawberries, peach, apple, pear and a glob of peanut butter. But my real favorite is cold pizza.

Me too! If someone does the cooking, I'm always happy to do the cleaning up after.

Outside of eggs, pizza is the number one breakfast in my household, especially in the cold months. Any excuse to use the oven in these unheated houses. Aside from that we really love pizza. If we ever have the pleasure of having you as a houseguest would you mind terribly if you get your pizza hot?

The old Kitchen Aide mixer is an essential for preparing the dough and I usually mix that the night before. And in the cold months when we don't have pizza I make biscuits to go with the eggs. The other January specialty is peach cobbler. Good thing Costco carries Bisquik.

Now that it is warming up a bit I like Manuel's idea of papaya or melon to accompany eggs and cut gas consumption by giving the oven a break. We'll still do pizza, just not as often.

Oh John, I'll bet you don't even like a mustard and onion sandwich.

Just the opposite for me: I'll cook if someone else cleans up. Add a nice dash of tequila casero as an aperitif, and you couldn't make me happier.
