Pumpkins for baking needs

Speaking of pumpkins...

Does anyone have a picture of a pumpkin they would buy here for baking purposes? Say, pumpkin pie, bread, brulee, and coffee flavoring?

I tried three varieties of pumpkin and they werent as I had imagined it would be. And I have googled the names and pics of baking pumpkins (I thought they were called sugar pumpkins?) but as my iPad screen doesnt function properly I cant exactly tell which would be ideal. A couple days ago I coooked up two yellow/green pumpkins and one small carving pumpkin in the olla expres (since we had those around for Halloween decor) and the consistancy is right, but the flavor isnt exactly what I was imagining. Tried the large yellow one a week ago but it also didnt live up to my dreams of it.

At our two closest stores we have large pumpkins that are a light yellow color, smaller orange (mini carving pumpkins) and then the yellow and green pumpkins (are those squash?). I imagine there are more options elsewhere.

Some recipes (like the bread) also taste great with the right squash.

If anyone is a pumpkin expert (and has a google link or photo) would they point me in the right direction? Or even a descriptin of size and color would be great (since my screen is pinkish from a dramatic fall!)

Thank you!

I cooked a pumkin pie last year at Thanksgiving using a squash that looked like the Halloween kind, but was light brown in color. I used a recipe off yhe internet. Tasted just like grandma made. The stores didn't have any of anyking of squash the Japanese Calabasa, but I found a local who sells to the street venders.
