Pomegranate Molasses Challenge

Can't Post | Private Reply
A friend just got back from Turkey. She brought me some fabulous spices and some pomegranate syrup/molasses. I have used this before - in drinks and desserts.

But now I want to explore some savory options. Duck seems to be a natural partner. Does anyone have any recipes or ideas on how to use this in a savory way?

Pomegranate molasses is good in everything. Even over enchiladas. Use it in salad dressing.

Gotta agree with Jennifer on this one, pomegranate molasses is great on just about anything. You're on the right track with duck, but don't overlook turkey, chicken or quail, especially if you grill, smoke or roast them. Pom molasses makes a great base for (or addition to) a BBQ glaze. It also works well with pork, particularly loin chops, butt and ribs and don't forget lamb, particularly spit roasted lamb that has been studded with garlic and rosemary.

Any place you'd add a bit of sweetness (or honey), you can use the pomegranate molasses.

hmm, that sounds fabulous. I did use it with some balsamic in a salad dressing which turned out well. But I am doing a dinner party on the 24th and will try it over pork tenderloin, in a kind of barbeque thing.
Thanks for the ideas guys!
