Hola, agua de betabel is a drink also known as "Lagrimas de la Virgen" traditionally it is prepared in the state of Guanajuato during semana santa especially on Good Friday. Ingredients are beets, lime, apples, bananas, lettuce and oranges. To prepare you first cook the beets Then blend all of the ingredients together. Add sugar to taste and chill.

For the same reason the other fruits are left unpeeled.

Cold, nutritious and delicious.

Prepare raw beet juice, adding a little pineapple if you wish. Add some sliced oranges, apples, limes, and bananas, cutting the bananas cross-wise and leaving the peel on. Add water. Chill until very cold. Serve garnished with shredded lettuce.
